Land Community Shows Support for Hurricane Harvey Victims

The devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey has hit historic proportions. After more than a week since the storm’s landfall on the coast of Texas, evacuation efforts have finally ceased and recovery has slowly begun. Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to over 60, several areas are still flooded, and “years” is how long experts are saying it will take to fully recover. The Houston area will likely never be the same.

In this great time of need, LANDTHINK and the LANDFLIP NETWORK are asking everyone in the land community – land owners, sellers, investors, agents, brokers, auctioneers, professionals, enthusiasts and others – to come together and help the victims of Hurricane Harvey by donating to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. LANDFLIP pledges to match the first $1000 donated, dollar for dollar.

The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund was established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and County Judge Ed Emmett to provide victims of the flooding and other weather from Hurricane Harvey with relief aid, including shelter and temporary housing, food and supplies, healthcare, transportation, child care and more. The Fund is administered by Greater Houston Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Let’s show our fellow farmers, ranchers, land owners, Texans, and Americans that they have the support of the land community. Your donation will be tax deductible through GoFundMe, and no amount is too small. Please make a difference and donate today.
